If you have issue with changing the policy type to fail-over in disk’s MPIO settings then make sure you’re following this procedure:
- Make sure your disks are not in use
- Set the disk from offline status to online
- Right click on the disk and select properties
- Then from the opened window select MPIO tab
- From the policy list select Fail-Over and then wait a bit
- In the path’s set all of the paths from active/passive status to standby except the first one
- Save & you’re done
